My Story

The beginning of this company's story and my dependency on medical grade compression garments began when I was diagnosed with cervical cancer after the birth of my second child.  I survived cancer but my lymph node removal left me with heavy feet, swelling, pain, loss of mobility and the need to seek out additional treatment.  This led me to a Lymphedema diagnosis, then a vascular diagnosis and eventually more doctors and a Lipedema diagnosis.  All of my issues required the same treatment: manual lymphatic drainage and compression therapy.

As a new consumer of compression garments I realized the term "compression" is overly used in many retail and fitness spaces but the term "compression" does not mean medical grade.  Medical grade compression products are ranked by a pressure rating usually either 15-20 mmHg (medium); 20-30 mmHg (firm); and 30-40 mmHg (extra firm).  This rating indicates the level of gradient compression that a product provides to aide blood and lymphatic flow and to reduce swelling.  Medical grade compression garments do not require a prescription but they are generally recommended by physicians to their patients for a variety of medical needs and purposes.  If you have any questions about wearing medical compression garments please consult your doctor.

I also realized that there isn't a diverse forum for medical grade compression shops in Columbus, Ohio and I wanted to create a store with a wide variety of high quality products for consumers who require medical grade compression garments.  I also wanted to provide consumers with a forum to shop for these garments where they can actually ask a fellow consumer questions about the products.

I want everyone who needs medical compression garments to know that being forced to rely on these products doesn't mean you need to be sad, ashamed or hiding behind the standardized bland products on the market.  I decided to take control of my dependency on medical compression garments and fight the shame and sadness by taking action and making my garments a choice.  I choose to buy garments that are fun and fashion forward.

I choose to play around with loud colors, different patterns, and styles in my compression wardrobe and it has changed my outlook on my dependency for these garments.  I have intentionally selected the products for my store to provide loud colors, different patterns and styles of quality medical grade compression products so that the consumer remembers that they do have a choice when it comes to wearing compression garments and you can choose to make it functional, fun and fashion forward.

Since Columbus is my home and compression is my life I created this shop to fill the void and to provide diverse quality products at the lowest price point available because I want my customers to enjoy shopping and living!
